    POSITION TITLE: IT Coordinator

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the VP of Administration.

    BACKGROUND: GapVax is a manufacturer of industrial vacuum trucks, wet/dry hydro-excavation trucks, municipal sewer cleaning and jetter trucks, and related equipment. GapVax offers hundreds of different options and combinations of its products. In order to manufacture and support this highly customized equipment, GapVax relies on an extensive IT infrastructure.

    BASIC FUNCTION: The IT Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and managing the IT systems and networks at GapVax. The IT Coordinator works independently and performs a variety of coordinating and analytical duties to ensure smooth delivery of technology services across the company.

    DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Administer network, domain, users/permissions, licenses, printers, copiers, printing press, phone system and security cameras.
    • Ensure backup systems are operational and offload data to storage as needed.
    • Monitor and update system performance and security.
    • Repair and upgrade computer hardware and software.
    • Repair and upgrade server hardware.
    • Administer company cell phones, contact information, and troubleshoot issues.
    • Assist assigned user to maintain current password settings and renew truck programming software licenses.
    • Support the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software by creating and updating permissions, installing software on new machines, and troubleshooting issues.
    • Coordinate with service providers for various systems and monitor contract renewals.
    • Plan and execute IT projects and initiatives, such as new hardware and software installations, system upgrades, network security, and system maintenance.
    • Provide technical support to GapVax employees onsite and remote.
    • Upload sales documents to the dealer portal.
    • Assist with back up of information for production machinery.
    • Monitor and maintain IT inventory and supplies.
    • Document any updates or changes to standard operating procedures and maintain IT work instruction.

    REQUIRED SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, network management, and system administration
    • Proficient in Office365, MS SQL, Server 2012
    • Proficient with HP LaserJet Printers, Konica Minolta copiers.
    • Proficient with Apple Business Manager / Verizon MDM (Mobile Device Management).
    • Proficient with virtual infrastructure. (VM Ware)
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks.
    • Organized, neat, meticulous.

    PREFERRED SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:

    • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, or related field AND 5 years of experience in IT administration.
    • Proficient with VMWare Virtual Infrastructure.
    • Programming skills (HTML, SQL, C Sharp, CNC Programming).
    • Ability to repair hardware in-house.
    • Ability to format/edit Crystal reports.
    • Familiar with ERP systems and manufacturing processes.
    • Familiar with PTC Windchill / Creo Software.
    • Familiar with Autodesk Software.
    • Familiar with MSA (modern storage array) SAN (Storage Area Network).
